Subscribe on iTunes

Paxton Bach and Kieran Quinn are back this week with new updates on diabetes medications and emerging evidence on the effect of renal denervation on blood pressure.

Diabetes randomized controlled trials have moved away from surrogate endpoints in recent years and towards the endpoint of mortality. Paxton shares a meta-analysis comparing all-cause mortality associated with different oral antihypoglycemic agents in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Kieran then shares a randomized controlled trial on the utility of renal denervation for uncontrolled hypertension in patients on antihypertensive medications.

Finally, the Good Stuff segment. Paxton shares an article on the rise of science in mainland China. Kieran shares an article on treating C. difficile with stool!
